2000 GUINEAS 1850

The 42nd winner of the 2000 Guineas, held on Tuesday 30th April 1850 over the Rowley Mile, was Pitsford (5/2), a bay colt by Epirus out of Miss Horewood, owned by Mr Harry Hill. The winner won by a neck, with the same distance back to the third. A field of 5 runners contested the race which was worth £1,450 (Equivalent to £168,200 in 2017)
